PEOPLE WHO MADE A DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE-PART 1

There are several people we come across everyday in our life. But not everyone create a foot print of their memories in our mind. There are very few in our life, who have been an eternal part of our life and touched our lives in several instances. This post i am dedicating for people who are very close to my heart and brought out a difference in my life. I would like to descend on the people from my college life to my kindergarten. It is exclusively for my dearest buddies till date.

Ramanujam a.k.a Babbu

This fellow , some one so close to my heart, a part n parcel of my daily life. We started talking to each other probably in the second year of my college and from then, till date our bond has grown so strong , inseparable. Though we have small misunderstandings between us, its all just a part of our unbounded intimacy. He is one person who has always been on the encouraging end and never lets me down. People around me used to say, this fellow is one selfish to the core and will not bother about others. I learnt from him that ,being a little selfish at some instances is really important for one to progress in life. Focusing on the right things at the right time is his key for success. He has always been there to give me a helping hand. When i am in the state of bleak,he is there to transform it to the mode of blithe n joy. He has guided me out in lot of dying situations in my life. Probably he is the one, after my mom with whom i share everything in my life. He is an encouraging factor for me in life. Hope for our perpetual bond!!

Preethika a.k.a Yeka

This female has touched rather blossomed my life in lot of aspects. First of all ,she was the first one who got so close to me in my college life. Our friendship dates way back to the first year of college not before we got really bonded in the second year of college. She was the only girl who spoke to me good and was kind to me when everyone else moved away. She brought out a great difference and uplifted me when i was totally down in life with all dooms around me. What i am today , i owe it to her. She has considered me for everything that she did , and regarded me. When it came to my acads its pre who has helped me out of the way and taught me so much. I still remember how much she has helped me out in pqt and in clearing that paper so called a dread, just with ease. I still cherish the times that we spent together. When the ghosts and phantoms were up , pre and myself would be talking about all possible things on earth. I have spent most of the times at her place. Her mother has been so loving and caring towards me. A very highly bonded relation which had seldom any squabbles. We enjoyed the tour with full of gusto!! I still have the memories fresh and will remain forever. To my knowledge ,we have had no secrets between us. She was one known to everyone in my family and appreciated by all of them. Everyone around used to praise our friendship. Not before everything came to a disastrous ending four months ago. She was the one who bloomed as well as now doomed my life. I felt so shattered when we had a very meaning less break. Still remains a mystery. I miss you soooooooooooooooooo much dear. Hope the cleft between us gets right and we have happy times again.Hope you understand this friend.

Ragav a.k.a anna

Probably ragav was the first guy whom i got really close to in college after yeka. It was because of yeka we both got really close. He is the best understanding guy ever i have come across in my life. Any problem , the first call i would give ragav. He can optimize the best solution. He has helped me out in lot of aspects in life and has always been my well wisher.Ragav, yeka and myself were the first trio of our department to put forth paper in various colleges and get in laurels to our dept. I got recognition in the dept because of this and i owe it to yeka. We used to call ourself the unbeatable TRio. Though we don't share the same bond as before 4 months, but still we are in touch. Hope we get back to happy times soon.

Samba

Samba, frankly speaking i had a hatred for this guy in the initial days of college. I felt he thought no end of himself and full of head weight for his talents. Then i realized how wrong was i. And today if any one around me speak ill about him, i would be the first to blast them out. My very sweet 'thambi'- that is how i address him. He got very close to me in the recent past. I really feel bad that i missed him for long, in my college life. This fellow is really crazy , cranky and would do all the weired things on this earth. When it comes to helping people , he would come out of the shell and try his level best to accomplish it. There are people around who dislike him for certain aspects. But i would say ,that there are so many positive aspects that will surpass the negative ones.People trust me , only when you get really closer to him will you know his goodness. He is very protective about me. Care is what i always get from him undoubtedly. We share a very great bond of Bro-Sis. This fellow, during my current semester exams , has helped me out so much. He would straight come from the room , teach me to the maximum extent possible the major topics, till late at night.Probably in this span of six months , he has helped me out so much and the best part is when i had no one around me to really give an uplifting hand it was this guy who comforted me. Our closeness today is because of Babbu and i got to know a wonderful set of people like samba because of him.

Mahesh.a. k.a Magi Anna

Our friendship started with a terror strike. Both of us used to dislike each other for no valid reason. The Rohtang pass incident worsened the situation. A word of sorry from my side bridged everything and today we are appended to each other.Again this bond is because of babbu. Magi anna i.e how i lovingly address him. He advises me like an elder brother and has been a part in boosting up my confidence. Guided me out wonderfully in lot of ways and helped me out in come off my depressions. He is also very emotional person just like me. He always tells me, never shed your tears unwanted. A very lovable and caring bro indeed to me.

Divya

She is one very sweet and caring person who is the closest among people in my class. Though initial days of our college life we seldom used to speak , from the mid of second year we got really close to each other. She has advised me in lot of aspects in life and brought out a significant change in me. I hardly knew the mentality of people around me in this city , but she enlightened me with some facts and i am really happy about that. This helped me in moving better with the people around. Very child like by nature. She is the youngest among all of us. A girl with full of focus in life. She has scolded me , when she felt i was not right. Though i used to feel for it, later i realized that she was my well wisher. Life takes a turn at every stage. I still appreciate the boost and the confidence that she gives me to face my downs .

These are the people who have made a mark in my college life till date and i owe a lot to them. I love you all so much. Will miss all of you after the collage days. The next post i would ramble about my other buddies.

Lost My Cycle:(:(

Cycling has also been one among my favorites and passion too. When ever i feel really lonely and down, it has been my best companion. I Just go on a drive in the evenings for an hour or so , which is one of my best past time. Driving on the streets of my area is really a pleasure. All surrounded with trees around and the evening mild breeze really makes up for one's day. But all this i can enjoy no more. Yesterday my cycle fell prey for theft. Some one flicked it off my building's compound even when my watch woman was on high alert. None of us realised it until at around night ten o clock when samba asked for my missing cycle. It never came under my sight right from the evening. I was under the assumption as usual that my cousin had taken it to his class.

Until two months back , i used to handle the cycle all by myself. I literally caressed it like a kid. The maintainence was undoubtedly beyond appreciation. Every one in and around used to have an eye on it. Even the brown cover wrapped around the rods i had kept with out unwrapping. Yesterday i really felt as though i lost a big possession in my life.Planning to post a police complaint.Hopefully i get back my cycle. I still remember the times when my dad got the cycle , looking at the difficulty i faced travelling inside my area. Bounded with so much of love and affection of my dad. It was really so sentimental to me. Just Hoping for the best:((

Significance Of 'GAYATHRI MANTRA'

I have always had a very great passion for the Vedas and religion.Gayathri Mantra has so much of vibrations in it. The way you recite it has a much more greater effect on the body and mind has a whole.Human life can be compared to a four-storied mansion. The four stories are: Brahmacharya (celibacy), Grihastha (householder), Vaanaprastha (recluse) and Sanyasa (renunciate). Today you are laying the foundation for the mansion of your life. The safety and security of the mansion is assured once you make the foundation strong and sturdy.

Man is born four times in his life. He is born for the first time when he emerges from his mother's womb. He becomes a Dwija (born for the second time) when he is initiated into the Gayatri Mantra. He becomes a Vipra through the study of Vedas and ultimately becomes a Brahmana when he recognizes the principle of Brahman. One should be a Brahmin not merely by virtue of birth, but by virtue of action too. For this, chanting of Gayatri Mantra is very essential.Gayatri is Sarvadevata Swarupini and Sarvamantra Swarupini (embodiment of all Gods and goddesses and all Mantras).

Man has to earn the grace of Gayatri, Savitri and Saraswathi to sanctify his life.First and foremost, man has to purify his speech. Only then will his life be safe and secured. If you slip and fall, the injury can be repaired, but the slip of the tongue is irreparable. It will make your life miserable. So, you should have control over your speech. Excessive talk will lead to untruth and unpleasantness. That is why the ancient saints and seers used to observe silence. You can uphold truth and attain fame only by talking less. Limited talk will confer happiness. Excessive talk will put you to grave dangers.Bhur, Bhuvah and Suvah in the Gayatri which sustains the life force. This Mantra refer to body (materialization), life force (vibration) and soul (radiation). Bhur means Bhuloka (the earth), which is nothing but the combination of materials. This denotes the human body, which is also a combination of materials. Bhuvaha refers to the life force, which makes the body move. Suvaha refer to Prajnana Shakti,Prajnana Shakti is known as the Constant Integrated Awareness.

Gayatri is the embodiment of the mother-principle. You should chant the Gayatri everyday, morning, afternoon and evening. These are referred to as Praathah ,Sandhya, Maadhyahna, Sandhya and Saayam Sandhya. When you show your back to the sun, your shadow will be ahead of you. It will fall behind you only when you stand facing the sun. Similarly, Maya (illusion), which is like your shadow, will overtake you when you turn your mind away from God. It can be overcome only when you turn your mind towards God.Gayatri is known as Panchamukhi, meaning she has five faces. What are they? Aum is the first face; "Bhur Bhuvah Suvaha" is the second; "Tat Savitur Varenyam" is the third; "Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi" is the fourth; "Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat" is the fifth. The Gayatri has three parts: 1.Praise, 2.Meditation, and 3.Prayer. First, the Divine is praised, then it is meditated upon in reverence and lastly, an appeal is made to the Divine to dispel the darkness of ignorance and to awaken and strengthen the intellect. "Dheemahi" is related to the meditative aspect. "Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat" relates to the aspect of prayer.

Chanting of the Gayatri Mantra purifies the mind and confers devotion, detachment and wisdom. Young men must necessarily chant the Gayatri Mantra. Today we find people getting initiated into the Gayatri Mantra in the advanced stages of their youth. Intellect will blossom and shine forth in all its splendor only after initiation into the Gayatri Mantra. That is why it is essential that Upanayanam be done at the age of eight. One who is initiated into the Gayatri Mantra at an early age will become highly intelligent. Chanting of the Mantra will sanctify man's life.If you chant the Gayatri Mantra wholeheartedly, you will never face difficulties or misery in life.

My Beloved Pappu(Snowy)

Dogs and cats have always been my favorites when it comes to breeding pets. Though i have never had the chance to have one in my home town ,because of my mom's disliking for pets..i got the very opportunity to spend time with pets when i moved down to this city. I was residing with my aunt and family, where we had a cutie spitz..Snowy(pappu)..which was like around 4 yrs old when i had come down here. He was really huge and snow white doggy and a ferocious one. Initially when i was new to the place,..i still remember, everytime i used to enter and exit the house, snowy would be the one sending off me and greeting me in , with his loud barks. At the first site i was really very scared. When snowy was an year old or so ...i had come along with my family for a vacation to chennai and we resided at my aunt's place. My younger sister too has the passion for dogs just like me. She wanted to feed the dog with bun and tried to play around with it's food. Ultimately she had to reap the bitterness for her stupid act. She got bitten very badly by snowy and the scar is still visible on her hand till date.

Pappu has been the pet of every member in our family. Pappu was got to chennai from delhi by my cousin, when she had been on a trip there. It was her gift from her friends , because of her all time passion and craze for DOGS!!She would do anything for him and she has gone all extends for protecting her pet. Though initially pappu was too ferocious with me, with in a very short period got so closer to me. Everyday when i used to enter home from college he will wag his tail so much in happiness and would want me to come and caress him. He was the best guard for our colony. Very sharp, intelligent and loving. An year back due to shifting of location and few other dumb reasons, we had to leave our pappu with a care taker. This fellow runs an exclusive home for Dogs in the ECR . I could not believe that there are such good souls existing who really care for animals and love them beyond horizons, admist their busy schedule. Even if people are rich enough ,not many would have the will and wish to do such a kind act. Hats off to you sir!!

Pappu had a very different life for an year before his very sudden demise in the beginning of this month. We were not informed about this until Yesterday. So shocked and grieve struck about the sudden death of our dearest pet. We have really no words to express. Just Few days back we were planning to get back pappu in the month of january back home. But before that god took off his soul from this heavenly body. My cousin who had all the plans set for building a new canal for him..is totally lost in depression.May our Pappu's soul rest in peace!!:(:(:(

A very thrilling rainy day!!

Rains are something i am so thrilled about. But this was a very different experience..the day of my exam. The down pour of rainfall started at about six in the morning and was really very heavy with thunderstorms. I was expecting the rains to come down a bit but there was no sign of improvement. The biggest problem in my area is that we will not find a single auto passing by when there is torrential rains. This day was no exception. I started few mins earlier itself to catch the bus and found no autos as expected. If it was any other normal day i would have just left and stayed off home better than going to college. But its the day of university exam and can take no risk. Came back rushing home and called few of the known auto drivers, but none of them could come to my rescue because of their non availability.

The next attempt was to ask help from my cousin, but because of the heavy downpour he was hesitant to get his vehicle out as it had technical faults. Every thing was going against me. By then the clock had already past eight few mins. I was stranded with out any solution with all fear in my mind. Then my cousin tried his level best to find if some one could come and drop me, and by god s grace we found a tourist vehicle who halted and offered to drop me on the GST road where in lot of my college buses pass by. If at all i happen to miss my bus ,usually i come down to GST road and catch another bus, which is a very rare phenomenon though .Ithought "ok,i am relieved off all the tensions for the day "and tried to keep my cool without knowing i had few more hindrances ahead of me.

Around eight buses passed by and none halted. I was trying to halt all the buses by waving my id card. I was in a very miserable state with my umbrella flying off and broken.Completely got drenched ,including my bag ,hall ticket. Started shivering with cold and to my relief at last the ninth bus halted and i got in.Was dripping in water and totally struck with cold. Reached college really very late because of al l the heavy traffic and could not even get the time to dry myself. I went to write my exams all drenched and through out was shivering. In fact with high difficulty was holding my pen and writing, since my hands were shaking because of the extreme cold.It was indeed a very different and thrilling experience of my life!!

The Wedding Hungama!!

I know its been really long since i posted. Its almost ten days since my sister got married and i wanted to post on the happenings. Yet another fantabulous day in the sweet memories of my family happenings. My cousin and dhen(my junior jiju) have been in the journey of the love for the past six years and with all good memories tied the knot on 24th of october, at Tirumala ,very much a place of sereneness and divinity. They had a wonderful darshan of the Lord and i really feel they are so blessesed a couple to have got the blessings of balaji on the day of their wedding. They hosted a reception here in chennai on the next day where in a huge crowd turned up. Babbu, sid ,kudi, samba made it to the wedding from my frds circle. It was indeed a wonderful day again. Samba and kudi tried to spot some chics out there though they failed to do so!!! The food was the best part of the reception with a good lip smacking menu. The bride and the groom were all dressed and looking heavenly!

It was indeed a very marvelous day. I wish the couple a very happy married Life.

God Saved Me!!

It's been really long since i posted on my blog. Busy down with my tuitions and lot of print out assignments. It s really tiring to take print outs of our case tools lab.Phew!! this record consists of 400 odd pages. I literally ran out of pages and had to spend hundred bucks for getting extra sheets. Total waste!! Admist all these happenings i just got saved and alive today when death almost collared me yesterday evening while crossing the railway track. Generally i get to my tuitions by crosssing over the railway bridge at chromepet station, which is the most accident prone area in the city with the maximum number of deaths happening in this place. God Forbidden!!!! All my prayers saved me. I was a bit hesistant to post this happening but really felt the depth that death can happen with in a span of few seconds and there was just no guarantee for life!!

Because of my reckless action the tragedy would have occured. I crossed the track by having the ear plugs of my cell phone plugged in, listening to FM in full volume. That was reason due to which i could not hear the ponking horn of the train. Just few seconds ,if i would nt have been pulled off the track by two ladies out there probably would not have existed on this planet today. One very alarming experience of my life. Though i have had the experience of falling off the foot board of a double decker bus in std tenth and injuring my limbs ,this was a very tragic one. I was literally out of my senses for few minutes . Didnt know what was happening around me though few ladies around were yelling at me in agony. The moment i was pulled off the track the train passed in front of me. I only thought that crept me was ,what if i would have been run over by the train???!!!??? The very thought got in all the fear waves running down my nerves. I could not sleep last night with all possible night mares and fear gripping me n making me ice cold. But for all the good and intense prayers of my parents and me , GOD came to me in the form of the two ladies and saved me from thr tragedy. I have always heard people talking about their experiences of seeing GOD in the form of people . I too felt the same yesterday. I thought of the Eleven sayings of Sai Baba- The ultimate path of serenity and really felt his presence yesterday. My humble request to all my fellow folks is please be very alert while crossing roads and avoid taking on to the tracks ,instead use the railway bridge. Avoid mobile phone usage when you are crossing a road or track.

A Very Memorable Day !!

Birthday is very special to each and every one of us.All of us are sent to this beautiful planet by the almighty for accomplishing some good deeds.Unless we do something productive in our life there is no meaning for that birth.Dont know what for god has sent me here..still not realised yet.Fine dont want to get really too philosophical.Yesterday i celebrated my Birthday with a bang filled with loads of fun and excitement. I had a surprise pack for me the midnight where in my friend had sent me a birthday cake and lot of chocolates. I started off with offering my pranams to the almighty-SAI baba.I had given for sevas in the temple located at mylapore. Spent till noon there and started off to my place where i had invited my friends for lunch. First Sid and Babbu came in at around two o clock..was really very hungry by then. Then came in magi, raja, vijay, kudi,Guru. Prasi and samba joined the gang later. Kapathu(Kavin) had some personal commitments,so joined a bit later. We had a good chat session where in the "enna kodumai saravanan" gang were all discussing about the upcoming symposiums and stuff related to it.

My cook had made really delicious food and i believe that every one relished it.The menu for the day included chapathi, chana, potato fry and two rice varieties with a sweet. All of us had a hearty meal and continued with the chatting session. Then struck the thought of playing something ,so everyone asked me for a tennis ball.Luckily i didnt have one at home or else for the hits that each one got some major terror incident would have taken place. I borrowed a air ball from my cousin and we had enough fun playing with it,hitting each other.Magi gave a blow on prasi 's head and she felt the world toddling around and could not hear anything for a while. The maximum hits probably was shared by Raja and Samba. It was almost around five thirty in the evening by then .The main event for the day ,the cake cutting session was a long awaited one. By then i received a call from my mom en quiring about the days happenings and how was it going. While i was conversing ,they had set the cake cutting session in my room ,pitch dark. I went in lighted the candle..wow!!really wonderful one that was!!It popped out like a small parachute cracker then a lotus flower like structure was formed and all the tiny little candles on each petal lit up making it look really fantabulous and the background musical Happy Birthday. Thank You Babbu -it happened to be his choice. Then i cut the cake with all birthday wishes buzzing with the happy birthday song. I thank my dear buddies for the gift.

Overall, a very memorable day in my college life till date. I enjoyed every bit of it and will remain fresh forever in my memories.Definitely i missed my best buddy. Every one wished me Success. The mantra Was "Taste Success". I pray to the almighty , may all your wishes be a boost to me and i should smell success in all walks of my life.!!

ULTIMATE SERENITY!!

It was my long time desire to visit the SHIRDI baba temple located on the east cost road and ultimately i accomplished my wish yesterday.Oh my goodness!!The experience was far beyond explanations and mere words. It s a place where in one kind find ultimate solace. The temple architecture is a replica of the Shirdi Temple. It's located on the coasts and surrounded with greenery all around. The neem trees, coconut palms, different species of botanical beauty all adds beauty to the divine place. The temple is really too big and spread across a vast area.

The first place of worship in the temple is the deity of Lord dattatreya.Shirdi Baba is said to be the avatar of Dattatreya. Then we have other deities of worship which include the traditional deities. The main temple complex is where Baba is seated. When you get inside the sanctum the chants are so welcoming. We can meditate for hours inside ,ultimate silence and very divine atmosphere. We can really shed down all the burden on us and keep ourselves very relaxed. Then we proceed further inside ,we have the "chavadi" and "dwarakamayi".Chavadi is the place where baba used to be carried in palki and this is place where he used to reside and give darshan to his devotees.Dwarakamyi is the place where the holy fire is lit and is kept burning all round the clock. The ashes from this holy fire is considered to be very divine
"Udhi" considered to be a cure for all diseases as believed by devotees.

Then we have the wish tree where one can tie the yellow thread around the tree and wish for something.I too did that. There is a separate temple for gayathri devi. Then a julelal temple -the god of ocean. There was one separate small temple built in for "vaideeka sai".This place is believed to help people recover from various ailments. This place has a very special path way built in which has pebbles all over .It is believed to be a good source of acupuncture.I would really suggest all of you to visit the temple once.Really a place of must Visit!!!!!

ZEPHYRIX 07-A BIG SUCCESS!!!!

The most awaited event for the year zephyrix 07 -our technical symposium was a very grand success. Our team has been working really hard for this mega event for the past one month.Every one for the past one month have been talking only about "Feeling the Breeze"-of our technical extravaganza. If you would have noticed the orkut profiles of my fellow mates any one could have guessed the amount of excitement each of us had, all filled with enthusiasm ,our orkut profiles reflected. We received an unexpected turn over of 800 head counts. All of us were overwhelmed. Our God mother had instructed not to cross 500,but we could not keep our hands off the registration desk.

Right from the start of the day the event went on in a very fine manner. It started off with a soulful treat to the minds,a prayer to the almighty. Then proceeded on with the visual saga of our dept.Oh my god!!!!amazing treat to heart and our minds.Hats off to kudi, mahesh,Arun,Guru and our dear junior Shakthi.None left without praising the presentation. They had made it so differently ,a potrait of our college was given in a very different manner. We had different events, unbelievable ten events was conducted in a fantabulous manner.Evry one around in the college were liked really surprised with the kind of co ordination and control and above all the management of the entire crowd that turned up, in a very smooth manner with out any havoc.Kudos to all the volunteers!!!We had excellent arrangemnts starting from the stage arrangements to the refreshments.

The events of the day went on smoothly. The highlight of the day was the RJ Mr.Yo Yo from the Big Fm team.He was the judge for our Ad zap event. We had our host Ad zap performance by our own team"Enna Kodumai Saravanan"-the pride of our dept who have won several accolades to their credit in Humpty number of performances in various colleges in and around the city. The RJ was so delighted with their performance.Mr.Yo Yo conducted a RJ hunt in our college in which four students got selected but from the hosts as well as from the guests. All the events got winded up by 5.00 pm and then went on with the valedictory function. We had the prize distribution where eminent personalities from Sankara Nethralaya who were present admist us,gave away the awards. Then came up the winding for the day where our beloved madam got in really emotional. She has so much of affection towards each one of us especially the Saga 2008 batch today she exprsessed it out so openly that when guys from other colleges gave their feed back, they spoke about the way they wre pleased with the gel between our HOD and we the students of the Cse family. All of us are so bonded with the department. We would really miss all these activities from the next year.We learn so much from these kind of evnt organisation.Three Cheers to CSE and Our Leader and Beloved God mother for all the support and encouragement that she has been giving to all of us for making this event such a grand one and creating a mark in the history of Our college.!!

Bang with My cousins!!

After a really long wait my cousins decided to watch SIVAJI-THE MOVIE OF THE YEAR.I ,already saw the movie twice with my buddies and had a good lot of fun especially on the second screening that we had in delhi ..the entire lot of CSE.Yesterday ten of us including oldies we went for the screening to satyam.Inspite of seeing the movie twice i was the most enthusiastic among the lot to watch the movie. We went in for the 11.30 show. Before that in the morning i had to attend a function. My cousin 's fiance who is scheduled to tie the knot with his long time love had also joined us though he is no stranger to us.

All of us had a bash together doing everything possible..whistling,clapping,my sis she was popping up and down as if she was sitting on some spring chair. We tried our level best to control her but she was in full form.I was so much in to the movie and didnt really know even when there came up an intermission.!!We had a good course of pepsi,my favorite cold chocolate, pop corn, puffs and what not!!I had to encounter with an embarrassing situation.I had a conversation with my cousin in which i said "THOTTI JAYA is definitely going to get a national award for the settings and other effects of the movie.Everyone laughed out aloud.I didnt really understand what was wrong until my sister controlled her laughter to an extent and said "tht was not THOTTI JAYA but that fellow 's name was THOTA THARINI.Just put my face down and i too burst out laughing. We had a good round of photo session. There was one amazing poster of The Bald Sivaji .We all took pics standing next to it.Few people ,probably they were very sophisticated ,gazed at us in a very awe struck manner.Enna aanaalum engal thalaivar poster kita naanga nindhu photo eduthupoam illa, paakarthuku range ah irundhaalum, local thaan pa!!!!

Got semma terror from my dad for watching the movie thrice!!He is totally against all that.He feels its all unwanted craze in life. But that was just a bit of spicy stuff.Overall we had a fantabulous day,and a good get together after long.I could not load the pics since dont have it currently, will do it shortly.

FRIENDSHIP!!

The very word friends makes any person s face light up like a hundred watts bulb!!That s the power of the word FRIEND.As a native of mumbai i had a totally different set of people around me when i came down to singaara chennai for my Graduation. There was so much of diversified opinions coming around from all sides.I was already exposed to the college kind of life because we have the Junior college system down there.By the time we came in for graduation we were exposed to different kinds of lifestyle, but things were really different down here.I hardly had any friends when i was in the first year of my college.Really very sickening. We have this rules in our college where girls and guys should nt mingle with each other. But none of us really gave an ear to all that and today we are all so appended to each other. The very thought of our collage life coming to an end in few months really makes me feel the depth of the friendship and the very thought of separation shoots up my emotional quotient high and in to tears.Oh my god!!Unimaginable.

Friendship is ,a distinctively personal relationship that is grounded in with concern on each other, for the welfare of the other, for the other's sake, and that involves some degree of intimacy.Friends are the ones who give us an helping hand in times of distress and boost up our morale.A true friend is one who really shares your ups and downs in life and gives in their shoulders for you.Friends can help shape who we are as persons. Friendship essentially involves a distinctive kind of concern for your friend, a concern which might reasonably be understood as a kind of love. Our friend's successes become occasions for joy.Friendship involves acknowledging one another, giving importance to values that each regards in life, trust between the two, little amount of intimacy. Friends live together by sharing in heated arguments and diversified thoughts as no men on this planet can think alike.Enhancement of one s life is the key to a very successful Friendship.Mutual caring is vital to friendship. A true friend must understand what on earth you give very high priority and importance which includes the people and try to give value to same.I dedicate this post to all my dear most friends who have been really very caring towards me and above all the people who have been really instrumental in making my life complete.

I have a few friendship quotes penned down here ,do read through and give it a thought buddies. It really has so much of deeper meanings.

  • "My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me."

  • "Friendship is never established as an understood relation. It is a miracle which requires constant proofs. It is an exercise of the purest imagination and of the rarest faith."
  • "A friend might well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature."
  • "Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
  • "No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other's worth."
  • "No friendship can cross the path of our destiny without leaving some mark on it forever."

Birthday Bash!!

The most awaited Birthday of the month was Babbu s Birthday which we celebrated in a very splendid manner.I Started off the day by visiting Hanuman temple and offering prayers there.Samba accompanied me.From there we proceeded to Ms.Kapathu s House where we all had planned to gather.Mahesh and Sid got there before us and Magi was busy giving a fair copy to the poem that he had written for the birthday boy.The unfortunate part is that i am not really well versed in reading tamil so could not read it.But to my knowledge it was very touchy and heart felt.I remember the night before while magi was almost done with the writing he called me up and poured out , his emotional quotient was at its peak. You can check out the poem in magi s tamil blog(Tamil blog).I crafted a greeting card with little much of efforts which turned out to be good. All of us scribbled our autographs on the card with lovable words.

We had lip smacking 'Pongal' which was prepared by Kapathu s mom.Kudos to aunty!!Never before have had such a nice preparation of pongal with cashews filled in.Samba never left the 'Sambar' which was the side dish. This guy everyone got a doubt ,whether he had pongal for sambar????or sambar for pongal???ummm...thats k..any ways need to thank kapathu for that wonderful breakfast. Then we proceeded to Mr.Babbu s Place. This was the first time i was visiting his place. He served us with lot of things .We never expected from this 'Kanjum' so many varities .sano Had arrived by then.We had good laugh around with tits n bits coming up in our conversations. Then we were joined by mr.Aanandham,Dadi,Maravats,Raja, kudi later. We had a glimpse of few you tube videos and our college culturals variety show.We had a round game of UNO.Full of fun.The most important happening for the day then came up with the cutting of cake. The birthday baby cut the cake and to my astonishment gave the first piece to daadi and then to his mom.We sang the birthday song in tamil. That was like different to me.In fact never have heard it before.Later we did the cake bashing but in a very decent manner by wiping it all over his face with our hands.

Then gave him the gift ,a fast track watch which was really liked by every one.We had some munching done for the hunger. The most awaited boy Ram sunder a.k.a varungalathil oru periya kedi came in with lot of terror. At first he was very shy and then came up with his 'svaya roobham '.Every one got great shots and punches from him.I was his target for the day.I was the victim for few embarrassing acts.Too much of silimishum.Around four o clock all of us started to the Eliots Beach. There we had amazing fun.The birthday boy got beaten up with eggs by all the guys. Then we went on with wetting our selves in the waves. The guys got really very enthusiastic and had a rock n roll on the sand.Ofcourse the day would not be complete without the birthday bumps. The guys with all their force hit the poor fellow especially sano and bala.

We had a good feast at planet yum which got in a bill of around Rs.2000.Thats very less when compared to the amount of money this guy makes from his blog,of course he has put in lot of efforts to bring in this. The ending of the day had a sad happening which was a great disappointment. The fast track gifted to him stopped ticking due to some technical faults. But no probs every thing has a solution .The next day itself we got it replaced and hope no further problem occurs. The day was indeed fantabulous and a very good kick start for the other fun thats going to follow up this mega celebration. This is brought all of closer and i am sure this is just a beginning and there is lot more coming up adding colour to everything that we are to do in our final year of college.

NICK NAMES-Part 1.

Hey folks as most of you would have viewed the blog of Mahesh and Vijay you would be familiarised with the nick names tradition. They have done a wonderful 50-50 partnership work on the post on Nick Names for one section of our batchmates. The other section of our batchmates with their nick names would be this highlighted post of mine.Nick names is what we give our people by either getting out an abbreviation of their name or getting some funny name out of their looks or something which they are much habituated to and so on and so forth.I didnt get to know few of the nick names,so will not be rambling about them. Here goes the nick names of my class mates....Sorry guys and gals if there is anything offending.please bear with me..

The First thing that any one would notice about her is her protruding eyes.Oh my god!!They are really too big to be left unnoticed.Scary at the first sight. Thus the name 'kannatha'.I would say thats the feature which really makes her look attractive. The way she drolls around her eye balls, may be because of her dancing skills.

Back To Form!

After a very long gap of almost more than a month i am getting back to my Blog. The Break which i took before the commencement of my university exams ,now resuming after the declaration of the results.Lot of ups and downs and sweet as well as sorrowful things happening around. As i have always taken life as it comes and faced it with all my courage wrapped round, everything till date have been able to accept as it is destined to be.Life is just as we take it.It can be sweet as honey or bitter as gourd.Few learnings with in this short span of a month or so.Let me pen down few happenings in this gap of two months.
I know if my friends happened to read this post they would be like how quick i was in writing about the tour.Friends bear with me.The best part of my college life was the tour which was organised to the north of India.Though i have already visited the places with my family ,the fun was some thing very different and i have no words to express the amount of happiness. We had been to shimla, kullu, manali, delhi, agra. It was a ten days trip fully filled with fun n frolick. We started off with a visit to agra where we visited the agra fort, akbar s tomb and the Magnificient TAJ MAHAL.Vow!!Just cant describe the monument in words.Spell bound!!The best part of the tour where every one really had good amount of fun was the travel from agra to delhi which was like around three hours journey.Every one had a fire on the dance floor. All possible 'reel' and 'real' pairs were made to dance their toes. The next cherishing aspect is the Camp Fire. All of us had a ball, with all the famous beats and dance numbers.Snow??Can we ever dream of getting to see snow in our very own Singaara chennai??All of us were so eagerly awaiting to play in the snowfield. That came to reality when we visited Rohtang Pass,Manali. The next visit was Delhi where we did good amount of shopping and saw our Super star s movie 'SIVAJI'.The movie was Amazing in deed. That was the second time that i watched the show.We had loads of fun during our both, to and fro journey by train with all whistles blowing up and music surrounding all around the compartment. The ten days that we spent together got in lot of closeness and we got to know each other pretty well.Definitely the memorable days that we spent together would be everlasting in all our memories for life.
After getting back from tour, did something fructuous by attending the SDP organised by our dept,Dept of computer science,on TELEMEDICINE & E-HEALTH under the consent of our godmother.I got enlightened about lot of aspects involved in the field of Telemedicine and its emerging boom in the society. We attended sessions in various places which included Appollo Hospitals,Sankara nethralaya,Tata Consultancy Services where we got theoritical as well as practical knowledge about the functioning of telemedicine and E-health.Overall we had excellent sessions where we got in the scope to really explore lot of aspects about this field.

What Your Handwriting Signifies???

Every one have a unique handwriting. The font differs from person to person, the style in which you write and things related to it.Here are few inferences on a person s qualities that can be derived at my notifying their hand writing.

  • If letters slant to the left: Indicates introspection and a lot of emotional control.

  • If letter slant to the right: Reveals a person who's outgoing, friendly, impulsive, and emotionally open.

  • If letters are straight up and down: The sign of someone who's ruled by the head, not the heart.

  • Letters that slant in more than one direction: Indicates versatility and adaptability.

  • An erratic slant: Usually means a lack of flexibility.

  • Heavy pressure writing (like you can feel the rib made on the back of the paper): The writer is agitated.

  • Moderate pressure (the writing is dark, but you can't feel the rib on the other side of the paper): Shows ability to deal with stress.

  • Light pressure: Indicates someone who seems to take life in stride.

  • Tiny letters: Indicate the writer is has somewhat low self esteem but is intelligent.

  • Small letters: The hallmark of quiet, introspective types - they're generally detail-oriented and have good concentration.

  • Large letters: Sign of a confident, easygoing individual.

  • Huge letters: Indicate someone who's theatrical, usually loud, and needs to be the center of attention at all times.

  • Wide letters (their width and height are about the same): The mark of someone who's open and friendly.

  • Narrow letters: Show someone who's somewhat shy and inhibited but very self-disciplined.

  • Letters that don't touch: Indicate an impulsive, artistic, sometimes impractical free thinker.

  • Some letters connecting: Means the writer's personality blends logic and intuition.

  • All letters making contact: The sign of someone who's highly cautious.

  • A curved first mark: Shows a person who's traditional and plays by the rules.

  • A straight beginning stroke: Reveals someone who's rigid and doesn't like being told what to do.

  • A final stroke straight across: The writer is cautious.

  • An end mark that curves up: Reveals generosity.

  • Perfect penmanship: The hallmark of a communicative person.

  • An indecipherable scrawl: Indicates a person who's secretive, closed-up and likes to keep his thoughts to himself.

Baby' s Day Out!!

After a very long wait of eight years my Brother became a Proud Father of a Cute Baby Girl On the 7th,May.His long wait for the baby has kindled in so much of affection towards her.She is born in the U.S giving so much of smiley faces out in India. The baby and mother are absolutely fine now.Every one around me are like so eager to see her..the much awaited happy moment of the year for my family members. She weighs an unbelievable 4 KGS!!a very plumpy kid.She was got out to this world with so much of screams from Mom because of her unusual built! The doctors out there were really very surprised it seems.Christening her is getting very complicated with every one coming up with a name for her.She is an angel to all of our family members. There is a very tight tiff going on between my Brother and his wife for choosing a name for her.Now they have come to an agreement of giving her two names.Shwetha and rajshree.I think both the names sound really outdated.Just thought let me not complicate the issue any further by Suggesting few more names and have reserved my comments.

The next happy news for us is that my sister has got her visa processing done successfully after she had a rejection in the first interview. She is all excited to leave for the U.S the next week for a month or so.She was so bugged out here after giving her SSC exams that she desperately wanted a break and go on a long tour. This was the opportunity she was awaiting and her joy knew no boundaries when her visa was declared open.More over she is really excited to see our new born niece who is the much awaited member of our family. In fact all of us out here in India are eager to see her in person. My mom is like doing lot of baby purchasing for her...getting her the cutest of frocks..the soft baby toys..cradle kit..and every other baby 's stuff possible to send it along with my sister.

Of course the torrential rider for this half yearly...my semester exams are just less than ten days down the lane.Soon after the exams come to an end i have my much awaited campus interviews resuming.Hoping to see me placed in one of the companies listed out for the season.I would like to Convey my wishes to all my friends for the semester exams.

Bid a Warm Farewell!!

Fare well- a perfect epitome of mixed emotions. This is what each and every one of us experienced in the farewell party which we hosted for our seniors-"SHIRAGUGAL 07".It was a day with full of fun n frolic though it had a tinge of sorrow towards the end.The day started off with a thanks giving by our seniors to the staff fraternity in the morning and towards the noon the juniors took over to bid the seniors with a very marvello farewell. We began with a prayer "karunai deivame" set to sindhu bhairavi raga which captivated our principal and he started off his speech by addressing the verses of the prayer to our own beloved Head of The dept(god mother) and placement "Dean"for the excellent placement record that she has put forth by encouraging each and every student irrespective of the dept.It was followed by a bharatanatyam recital by our senior. The staffs from other depts gave very encouraging words of speech which i am sure ,was really heart felt by every senior. This was followed by our god mother's addressing filled with emotions. We could sense the depression in her.She ensured to thank all most all our dear seniors for the valuable contribution to the dept and a helping hand by them. She quoted few examples of their work and encouraged us to take them as our role models.

The Afternoon session was completely dedicated to the seniors on Behalf of the Juniors. The seniors themselves gave a kick start by giving an amazing "Hip shake" dance performance. The team consisted of divya keerthi, divya teja, vinochandrika and vyjayanthi(The Twins of our Dept!),manjusha, revathy and a few others.Following the hip shakers was bala(2nd yr) who was in his full form with the song "june ponaal" from the recent talk of the town movie"Unnale Unnale" was accompanied by two of my classmates. The song was so lively that it made all of us Tap our toes. The much awaited event of the day The compsci awards(The Mock Awards) which was Assumed by most of my dear Batch mates as the "Mokkhai"for the day turned out to be the Mega hit event for the day and i am sure it was one event that was really cherished to the fullest by all our seniors. We -The "Dasaavataaram"team ,comprising of Preethika,Shiva, sudha, shwetha, prabha,SD,Ambi, vasu mami, meena and myself really did a great deal of work for this particular event and put in our best to give out the best.It came out as a surprise pack for all our dear friends who all just went 'spell-struck'.We gave away awards that included The most bookish,All rounder,Mr.Beautiful smile,Miss.Beautiful smile,Twins(vyjayanthi and vinochandrika)-Hats off to their friendship!,happening girl,Adorable musician,The cute couple(Aravind & Archana). We had lot of oppositions that came our way for the couple award .

We had our Ad-zap team with their variety performance.Good show.Followed by the games conducted by the Dasaavataram team which kept our seniors really on the move. The Games included "Smooch It" in which the contestant had to apply lipstick and kiss on the paper. The person who Gave in the maximum impressions was declared the winner.Next was "Butt Bursting of balloons".In this game the participant will be provided with balloons. The one who blows in the maximum number of balloons and bursts it by sitting over it was declared the winner. One very intersting game was the "Bridal Dressing ".One female participant and one male participant were called upon. The female had to dress up the male by tying the 'sari' and applying make up on the face.It was one very hilarious show which really brought out laughter in all our senior's faces. There were few other games which kept our seniors occupied. After the game show we had the awards distribution to our lovable seniors from us.It was a token of our love and affection to them. The momento consisted of a photo Frame which comprised of all our seniors Photos in a collage form and every individual s photo in the centre. The seniors really cherished it.They all thanked us for the memorable gift.Kudos!! to my friends mahesh, rama, ragv(duo),prasi and others who were behind the innovative work.We had organized a delicious meal for our seniors which was relished by every one.Overall a fantabulous day , of course filled with tears of joy and as well as sorrow.

Air Delight!!

After a long gap of 3 yrs,The Indian Airforce Team are getting back to chennai for the air show which is expected to be enthralled by so many enthusiastic spectators from all over the city. The residents of Chennai will get a Visual Treat of breathtaking display of skills, aerobatics, para jumping and drills by officers and warriors of the IAF as part of the Air force's efforts to draw talented youth towards them. The Aerial show is said to take up at two places in chennai which includes the Tambaram Air Force Base and the Marina Beach. The last time the event took place was some where in the mid of september 2003.

It's going to be on from 20th -22nd April. An IAF Symphony orchestra would give a marvello start to the much awaited events that are lined up for the following days. The dare devil display by various squadrons of IAF will form part of the events. In the morning, squadrons of Deepak, Dornier and other aircrafts would make their presence felt, before `Saarang,' the Helicopter team of IAF takes over. After a display by Saarang, it will be the turn of members of the `Suryakiran' team to display their prowess. They would be followed by the `Akaash Ganga' team that will demonstrate its parajumping abilities, culminating in a spectacular display of ground display skills of the Air Warriors.

The main moto behind organising this grand event in the city is to give a blow to the young minds and kind of inspiration to them to join the IAF.The number of recruits from the city is dipping at a very larger rate year after year which is the cause of concern for the Air Force and have decided to conduct the Air shows at regular intervals hereafter. It would be a motivating factor for young aspirants and engineers. So guys n gals definitely give a try with the Air force. As most of us know that there are so many other comforts and monetory that can be benefited by joining the Air Force. So if You guys are really chevalrous then go ahead to discover the might, strength and diverse capabilities of the IAF.

To all the folks out there do not miss the most fantabulous Air Delight that s just round the corner this week end and go ahead to have a glimpse of it either at Tambaram or the Marina Beach.

My long time desire!!

My long time desire to start up with a blog, today have accomplished it.Penning down one's thoughts is the best way to keep it alive.I have had lot of instances in my life when i have felt the need of putting my thoughts on to written form.I believe ,as a blogger can optimize it better. My best buddy is my inspirer as far as blogging is concerned.Writing is an art by itself.
Now i am at the start of preparations for a torrential rider.... my University Examinations..which is scheduled just a month from now.As usual in search of my books..in fact need to purchase them..lol!!Ofcourse the Practical exams scheduled for the following week.Everything in a mess.We had this so called "communication skills" lab yesterday. The first session in the morning was interesting with a Group discussion and "JAM"(Just a minute) in which we could talk about any crap of our choice. The topic for the group discussion was "Is the western culture really influencing and intervening in to our Rich Indian Tradition".There began a hot discussion of the topic.
I spoke against it..infact the only one among the lot to have spoken against it.We had about 10 min s of it with eleven members of my class.Every one presented their views and opinions well.Surprisingly one guy(i would not like to name him)who seldom speaks english was at his best.I felt this kind of a curriculum activity really would help in bringing out people who are in to the nut shell. Some thing really worthwhile that the university has included in its so called academic curriculum. If you look deep in to it you would realise its all absolute zilch.Nothing really is very interesting or fascinating about the subjects we deal with. The worst part is coding and stuff.Anyways got to be doing that my life time as a Software Engineer[fate!!].
The "Jam" session was equivalently good.People spoke on varied topics ranging from education system in India,Youth development, cell phone bans, etc, etc. Then came my turn before even i could realise.First at the start of the session had plans on speaking about my all time passion"MUSIC ".Suddenly when they called out my name i dont know something in me said talk about yoga and Vedanta.Yoga has helped me a lot in balancing myself mentally.Even though i dont practice it religiously Time and now i take up few aasanaas whenever i feel really stressed out both mentally and physically. Today's youth really are stressed out with their hectic life schedules. It would play a vital role in striking a balance between work n one's personal life.Ispoke few points stressing on the need of yoga and vedanta in man's life.
The second session was an online listening and reading comprehension skills test.I would term it as an insult to any professional student. It was equivalent to a fifth grade level. The listening skills was an absolute local slang. My friend in the next division who has her exams today asks me last night.."was it british or american slang?"had a good laugh. It was 45 mins test.I was the second person to come off the lab by completing it less the half of the alloted time .Overall a very boring day with a bit of sense making stuff in the morning session.
