Baby' s Day Out!!

After a very long wait of eight years my Brother became a Proud Father of a Cute Baby Girl On the 7th,May.His long wait for the baby has kindled in so much of affection towards her.She is born in the U.S giving so much of smiley faces out in India. The baby and mother are absolutely fine now.Every one around me are like so eager to see her..the much awaited happy moment of the year for my family members. She weighs an unbelievable 4 KGS!!a very plumpy kid.She was got out to this world with so much of screams from Mom because of her unusual built! The doctors out there were really very surprised it seems.Christening her is getting very complicated with every one coming up with a name for her.She is an angel to all of our family members. There is a very tight tiff going on between my Brother and his wife for choosing a name for her.Now they have come to an agreement of giving her two names.Shwetha and rajshree.I think both the names sound really outdated.Just thought let me not complicate the issue any further by Suggesting few more names and have reserved my comments.

The next happy news for us is that my sister has got her visa processing done successfully after she had a rejection in the first interview. She is all excited to leave for the U.S the next week for a month or so.She was so bugged out here after giving her SSC exams that she desperately wanted a break and go on a long tour. This was the opportunity she was awaiting and her joy knew no boundaries when her visa was declared open.More over she is really excited to see our new born niece who is the much awaited member of our family. In fact all of us out here in India are eager to see her in person. My mom is like doing lot of baby purchasing for her...getting her the cutest of frocks..the soft baby toys..cradle kit..and every other baby 's stuff possible to send it along with my sister.

Of course the torrential rider for this half yearly...my semester exams are just less than ten days down the lane.Soon after the exams come to an end i have my much awaited campus interviews resuming.Hoping to see me placed in one of the companies listed out for the season.I would like to Convey my wishes to all my friends for the semester exams.

Bid a Warm Farewell!!

Fare well- a perfect epitome of mixed emotions. This is what each and every one of us experienced in the farewell party which we hosted for our seniors-"SHIRAGUGAL 07".It was a day with full of fun n frolic though it had a tinge of sorrow towards the end.The day started off with a thanks giving by our seniors to the staff fraternity in the morning and towards the noon the juniors took over to bid the seniors with a very marvello farewell. We began with a prayer "karunai deivame" set to sindhu bhairavi raga which captivated our principal and he started off his speech by addressing the verses of the prayer to our own beloved Head of The dept(god mother) and placement "Dean"for the excellent placement record that she has put forth by encouraging each and every student irrespective of the dept.It was followed by a bharatanatyam recital by our senior. The staffs from other depts gave very encouraging words of speech which i am sure ,was really heart felt by every senior. This was followed by our god mother's addressing filled with emotions. We could sense the depression in her.She ensured to thank all most all our dear seniors for the valuable contribution to the dept and a helping hand by them. She quoted few examples of their work and encouraged us to take them as our role models.

The Afternoon session was completely dedicated to the seniors on Behalf of the Juniors. The seniors themselves gave a kick start by giving an amazing "Hip shake" dance performance. The team consisted of divya keerthi, divya teja, vinochandrika and vyjayanthi(The Twins of our Dept!),manjusha, revathy and a few others.Following the hip shakers was bala(2nd yr) who was in his full form with the song "june ponaal" from the recent talk of the town movie"Unnale Unnale" was accompanied by two of my classmates. The song was so lively that it made all of us Tap our toes. The much awaited event of the day The compsci awards(The Mock Awards) which was Assumed by most of my dear Batch mates as the "Mokkhai"for the day turned out to be the Mega hit event for the day and i am sure it was one event that was really cherished to the fullest by all our seniors. We -The "Dasaavataaram"team ,comprising of Preethika,Shiva, sudha, shwetha, prabha,SD,Ambi, vasu mami, meena and myself really did a great deal of work for this particular event and put in our best to give out the best.It came out as a surprise pack for all our dear friends who all just went 'spell-struck'.We gave away awards that included The most bookish,All rounder,Mr.Beautiful smile,Miss.Beautiful smile,Twins(vyjayanthi and vinochandrika)-Hats off to their friendship!,happening girl,Adorable musician,The cute couple(Aravind & Archana). We had lot of oppositions that came our way for the couple award .

We had our Ad-zap team with their variety performance.Good show.Followed by the games conducted by the Dasaavataram team which kept our seniors really on the move. The Games included "Smooch It" in which the contestant had to apply lipstick and kiss on the paper. The person who Gave in the maximum impressions was declared the winner.Next was "Butt Bursting of balloons".In this game the participant will be provided with balloons. The one who blows in the maximum number of balloons and bursts it by sitting over it was declared the winner. One very intersting game was the "Bridal Dressing ".One female participant and one male participant were called upon. The female had to dress up the male by tying the 'sari' and applying make up on the face.It was one very hilarious show which really brought out laughter in all our senior's faces. There were few other games which kept our seniors occupied. After the game show we had the awards distribution to our lovable seniors from us.It was a token of our love and affection to them. The momento consisted of a photo Frame which comprised of all our seniors Photos in a collage form and every individual s photo in the centre. The seniors really cherished it.They all thanked us for the memorable gift.Kudos!! to my friends mahesh, rama, ragv(duo),prasi and others who were behind the innovative work.We had organized a delicious meal for our seniors which was relished by every one.Overall a fantabulous day , of course filled with tears of joy and as well as sorrow.

Air Delight!!

After a long gap of 3 yrs,The Indian Airforce Team are getting back to chennai for the air show which is expected to be enthralled by so many enthusiastic spectators from all over the city. The residents of Chennai will get a Visual Treat of breathtaking display of skills, aerobatics, para jumping and drills by officers and warriors of the IAF as part of the Air force's efforts to draw talented youth towards them. The Aerial show is said to take up at two places in chennai which includes the Tambaram Air Force Base and the Marina Beach. The last time the event took place was some where in the mid of september 2003.

It's going to be on from 20th -22nd April. An IAF Symphony orchestra would give a marvello start to the much awaited events that are lined up for the following days. The dare devil display by various squadrons of IAF will form part of the events. In the morning, squadrons of Deepak, Dornier and other aircrafts would make their presence felt, before `Saarang,' the Helicopter team of IAF takes over. After a display by Saarang, it will be the turn of members of the `Suryakiran' team to display their prowess. They would be followed by the `Akaash Ganga' team that will demonstrate its parajumping abilities, culminating in a spectacular display of ground display skills of the Air Warriors.

The main moto behind organising this grand event in the city is to give a blow to the young minds and kind of inspiration to them to join the IAF.The number of recruits from the city is dipping at a very larger rate year after year which is the cause of concern for the Air Force and have decided to conduct the Air shows at regular intervals hereafter. It would be a motivating factor for young aspirants and engineers. So guys n gals definitely give a try with the Air force. As most of us know that there are so many other comforts and monetory that can be benefited by joining the Air Force. So if You guys are really chevalrous then go ahead to discover the might, strength and diverse capabilities of the IAF.

To all the folks out there do not miss the most fantabulous Air Delight that s just round the corner this week end and go ahead to have a glimpse of it either at Tambaram or the Marina Beach.

My long time desire!!

My long time desire to start up with a blog, today have accomplished it.Penning down one's thoughts is the best way to keep it alive.I have had lot of instances in my life when i have felt the need of putting my thoughts on to written form.I believe ,as a blogger can optimize it better. My best buddy is my inspirer as far as blogging is concerned.Writing is an art by itself.
Now i am at the start of preparations for a torrential rider.... my University Examinations..which is scheduled just a month from now.As usual in search of my books..in fact need to purchase them..lol!!Ofcourse the Practical exams scheduled for the following week.Everything in a mess.We had this so called "communication skills" lab yesterday. The first session in the morning was interesting with a Group discussion and "JAM"(Just a minute) in which we could talk about any crap of our choice. The topic for the group discussion was "Is the western culture really influencing and intervening in to our Rich Indian Tradition".There began a hot discussion of the topic.
I spoke against it..infact the only one among the lot to have spoken against it.We had about 10 min s of it with eleven members of my class.Every one presented their views and opinions well.Surprisingly one guy(i would not like to name him)who seldom speaks english was at his best.I felt this kind of a curriculum activity really would help in bringing out people who are in to the nut shell. Some thing really worthwhile that the university has included in its so called academic curriculum. If you look deep in to it you would realise its all absolute zilch.Nothing really is very interesting or fascinating about the subjects we deal with. The worst part is coding and stuff.Anyways got to be doing that my life time as a Software Engineer[fate!!].
The "Jam" session was equivalently good.People spoke on varied topics ranging from education system in India,Youth development, cell phone bans, etc, etc. Then came my turn before even i could realise.First at the start of the session had plans on speaking about my all time passion"MUSIC ".Suddenly when they called out my name i dont know something in me said talk about yoga and Vedanta.Yoga has helped me a lot in balancing myself mentally.Even though i dont practice it religiously Time and now i take up few aasanaas whenever i feel really stressed out both mentally and physically. Today's youth really are stressed out with their hectic life schedules. It would play a vital role in striking a balance between work n one's personal life.Ispoke few points stressing on the need of yoga and vedanta in man's life.
The second session was an online listening and reading comprehension skills test.I would term it as an insult to any professional student. It was equivalent to a fifth grade level. The listening skills was an absolute local slang. My friend in the next division who has her exams today asks me last night.."was it british or american slang?"had a good laugh. It was 45 mins test.I was the second person to come off the lab by completing it less the half of the alloted time .Overall a very boring day with a bit of sense making stuff in the morning session.
